Working#
Interning in architecture and technology at Ideal CTVM (an institutional and high-frequency trading brokerage in the Itaú group). Day to day I work on market connectivity and financial messaging over the FIX protocol with QuickFIX/J, while also supporting internal services in Java and TypeScript in a mission-critical environment where predictable latency and session reliability come first.
Studying#
Pursuing a B.S. in Software Engineering at FIAP (Aug 2024 to Jul 2028). Outside coursework, I have been diving into JVM internals and garbage collection, concurrency, raw TCP/UDP socket programming, edge caching strategies and distributed systems design.
Building#
Maintaining the architecture and operations of OEDLA (an editorial platform at Unicamp running with a ~93% edge cache hit ratio and zero infrastructure cost) and PremiumUUID, a Java plugin for Paper/Minecraft servers.
In my spare time I keep refining cotoo.dev: a bilingual blog built from scratch without frameworks, a 3D ASCII Tux mascot, an interactive Unix terminal (press / or click Tux), pixel-art Open Graph cards and a Bayer dither theme transition.
Off the clock#
Running Fedora Silverblue as my daily driver, keeping dev toolchains isolated in Podman and Toolbx containers (full setup on cotoo.dev/uses). Almost always wearing headphones with math-rock and midwest emo playing (toe, TTNG, the cabs, American Football, Totorro), hunting down worn-in vintage workwear and denim, and tinkering with open source.
